Write Release Retail:
How to Become an Indie Author
Publishing your work and launching it into the literary marketplace is easier than ever now with the advent of self-publishing platforms like Kindle, Create Space, Smashwords, Pronoun, Kobo, and others. Aspiring authors have many opportunities to sell their work to readers all over the world via online booksellers and social media. Join me as I explain how to start your project; create a publishable manuscript; build your social media platform; choose your publishing partners; and promote and market your work. This class is recommended for anyone interested in self-publishing a novel, memoir, children's book, or non-fiction work. The first session will cover Write and Release; the second will cover Retail.

Social Media for Authors & Others
In our digital age we are constantly asked to tweet, post, share, follow and friend. What does all this mean? For authors seeking discoverability and others trying to build a platform in social media, all of this can be confusing and overwhelming. Join me for a two-hour hands-on workshop to learn how to make sense of Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Pinterest. Develop skills to build your own "pages" and learn how to upload content, gain followers, and increase your online visibility. This is a course in basic social media skills for those interested in promoting themselves and their products to a global audience. Please bring a fully charged laptop or tablet. This is not required but may enhance your experience.
